The band played at the ODBBA Entertainment contest in October 2023.

John Watts came up with a clever and varied programme depicting the voyage of the RMS Empress of Ireland and its collision with SS Storstad on 29th May 1914.

The band not only won the contest, but also achieved the prizes for best percussion which Matt Bray received and best Soprano cornet to Llewellyn Wells!
